Amazon’s Alexa digital assistant is outwardly fairly common amongst automakers.
Chatting with CNBC, Ned Curic, vice-president of Alexa Auto, mentioned demand for Alexa in automobiles is “through the roof” going into 2020.
“Two and a half years ago, we had nothing,” Curic advised CNBC. “We’re much further than I thought we would be. I’m quite pleased with the speed we were able to build and deploy.”
Curic is referring to the truth that Alexa automobile integration began off with primary options like distant automotive beginning. By elevated partnerships, Amazon has since expanded performance to carry Alexa into automobiles for voice help and launched Echo Auto, an aftermarket in-vehicle machine with Alexa.
To this point, Amazon has introduced partnerships with 10 automakers, most notably GM, which can carry Alexa to its Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC line of automobiles within the first half of 2020. Nevertheless, Amazon advised CNBC that the corporate is “essentially talking” with all main automakers about Alexa integration.
Subsequently, it stays to be seen what is going to come out of Amazon’s Alexa Auto efforts. For now, although, Alexa customers might be optimistic that the assistant might come to their automobiles within the not-too-distant future.
